I have a lot of mixed feelings about AI. In the end it might destroy humanity as we know it, but in the meantime, I'm going to live a childhood dream of creating the music that's been in my head forever. It came out in poems; it came out in songs, unfortunately, I've been living with crippling health conditions for over 40 years. To create this music would have been impossible in my condition, so for me to be able to make these songs from my bed is joy. This is probably one of the greatest things I've ever experienced. A whole new creative stream that doesn't need space, or equipment and I can do it anytime.
Here are my songs. I love them and I hope they bring you happiness and joy.
Colors is about a black and white photo of me and my one time boyfriend Randy both of us had been through so much in our life that we survived.

Just be is a song I recently wrote inspired by The Tao and Just be is a song I recently wrote inspired by The Tao and Tich Nhat Nhan. I strongly suggest looking into these spiritual teachings. They have bought me so much peace. I highly reccomend Stephen Mitchell and The Tao De Ching and anything written by Tich Nhat Nhan
Still Grieving is about the loss of my husband Donald Ray Huston. We had a complicated relationship. He was probably the person who infected me with HIV but he also skyrocketed me into enlightenment. not because he was enlightened but our life was so fringe, swimming back into a place of loving myself took 40 years. so here's to you Donald Ray
Terminal Velocity is about my journey of getting sober in 1985. I was using drugs and alcohol to medicate chronic depression. I was never an addict or an alcoholic. I still don't drink but through ketamine therapy and cannabis my life is fantastic. But for 43 years I was clean and sober. I went to meetings. 12 steps shaped how I go through life. It has given me answers to some of life's most difficult challenges. I also met some of the most amazing people who are my friends to this day. This song is about the beginning of that journey.

Hello Death is a poem I wrote in the late 90s about facing my own mortality as I became sicker and sicker, with not just HIV, but another illness it's called idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura, It was a very difficult time. It was before there were any treatments and the treatments I was getting for ITP were all experimental. It made me come to terms with death and not see it as something frightening or sad but something wondrous
I wrote Click about our obsessions with our phones. I know I take a lot of photographs with my phone but I've taken to leaving it in the other room or consciously going out without it. I am trying to disconnect from the toxic and also isolating angle it offers. What you feed yourself is who you become and what you believe. I feel just feeding myself light and love is the answer I use the phone creatively and it's a blessing in that way. Sometimes I find it difficult to see everybody buried in their phone and not being present. Just as a thought, I take certain activities like walking my dog or going into a store or waiting in line as a signal not to look at my phone, be present, be here now, it's so much better I promise you!
The More You Know is a song I recently wrote inspired by The Tao and Tich Nhat Nhan.

Dancing Angels is about abortion, life and death. Written in the early 90s
La Bamba Shack was written when I first found out I was HIV positive in 1991. I went to Tortola in the British Virgin Islands and stayed for a month. It was a confusing time. I had no idea what the future held, I mean none of us do, but for me, it seemed like death was certain and soon. Everyone told me to get my affairs in order and prepare for the end. I was trying to figure that out and one night in La Bamba shack I danced until dawn as if it was my last night on earth
Here are some videos I made pairing original music with my street photography
